Do you want to work with animals? Are you working or are keen to work in a pet store, welfare, kennel or cattery? Start your animal career with this certificate level course. In this course, students will learn about biochemistry, cell biology, domestic pet care and large animal care. 

This course will give you broad skills in basic care and health and well-being of large and small animals.

Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an animal attendant or pet shop assistant. It will also give you the knowledge required to complete further studies in the field.

This course is structured so that students can complete within 12 months although there is no time limit on this course.


Work Placement
The Certificate In Animal Studies contains 208 hours of work placement or 4 hours per week for 52 weeks

The workplace will need to provide animal related services such as veterinary clinics, veterinary hospitals  mobile vets, welfare organisations, pet shops and farming.

Your work placement can be completed anywhere in the world, and you will be responsible for the costs of any travel, accommodation, insurance or any other requirements related to your work placement.
