The course provides a detailed introduction to canine health, diet, diseases, emergencies and behaviour and should help you improve the care of dogs within your facility and considerably expand your knowledge and understanding of this species.
Units of Study
Unit 1 - Introduction To Canine Care - This unit covers the typical daily needs of a dog, both physical and psychological.
Unit 2 - Canine Biology - This unit covers the internal and external anatomy of a dog.
Unit 3 - Canine Diet - This unit covers the nutritional requirements and common health issues that impact on health, wellbeing and longevity of canines.
Unit 4 - Canine Preventative Care - This unit covers the different preventative care schedules.
Unit 5 - Handling Canine Emergencies - This unit covers the steps to complete and what is needed with emergencies and first aid.
Unit 6 - Common Canine Diseases - This unit covers the common diseases seen in canines.
Unit 7 - Canine Breeds - This unit covers the different canine breed types.
