We asked Mikaela - TISOVN Student some questions about her experience with TISOVN.

 

Q) Which course/s are you studying?

A) I am currently enrolled in Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Nursing, Certificate in Canine Care, Certificate in Avian Studies and Certificate in Herpetology.

 

Q) What do you like about the course/s you are studying?

A) The one thing I like about these courses are they are super informative and provide a lot of information without overloading you.

 

Q) If more than one course, which one is your favourite and why?

A) I think my favourite course to study is Herpetology as I have never researched about reptiles before so it’s super interesting to learn why they are the way they are.

 

Q) Why did you decide to study those course/s?

A) I wanted to gain knowledge in specific areas that would be beneficial to my workplace as they get so many different animals in.

 

Q) How did you hear about TISOVN?

A) I googled colleges for vet nursing as I was not happy with my last college, and I came across TISOVN.

 

Q) Why did you choose TISOVN as your preferred institution?

A) At first, they let me do an introductory course to see if I would like the assessments for nursing, and I loved how they gave you multiple attempts on the quiz. The assessments are marked super quickly, where my last institution took weeks even months to respond to anything, so TISOVN gave an amazing first impression when responding to emails and assessments within 48 hours. I think I submitted my very first assessment and it was graded within 5 hours – I was amazed and continued to study.

 

Q)What do you like most about TISOVN?

A) 

• Every single person at TISOVN is amazing – no matter how big or small the question or thought, they always come back with the most helpful information

• Questions and assessments are marked so quickly

• TISOVN assessors know their students – all their students matter to them. I’ve had multiple phone calls just to vent about courses and how I am going, just to get amazing advice back 

 

Q) What's your big life's dream?

A) To have knowledge in each area and aspect of the animal industry, to then open up my own shelter with a vet clinic attached, but until that happens, I want to do everything I can to provide advice for owners and treatment for animals.

 

Q) Any advice to give to new students?

A) I have talked to people who are unsure about what college to enrol into when it is online only. I have learnt so much at TISOVN so far. You can progress through the units and courses super quickly when you stay on track because marking time literally takes less than 3 days, if that, less than 24 hours.
