Work Placement
This course contains 200 hours of work placement

The workplace will need to provide access to large animals including a farm, mobile vet or large animal vet clinic. 

Your work placement can be completed anywhere in the world, and you will be responsible for the costs of any travel, accommodation, insurance or any other requirements related to your work placement.

Unit 2 -      Workplace Health and Safety - This unit covers health and safety with clients, employees, visitors, contractors, volunteers and suppliers 

Unit 3 -      Bovine Care - This unit covers breeds, nutrition, health, disease and products

Unit 4 -      Caprine Care - This unit covers characteristics, reproduction, nutrition and health

Unit 5 -      Ovine Care - This unit covers breeds, breeding, nutrition, diseases and management

Unit 6 -      Porcine Care - This unit covers breeds, nutrition, health, disease and reproduction

Unit 7 -      Poultry Care - This unit covers breeds, nutrition, health and disease

Unit 8 -      Equine Care - This unit covers psychology, handling, characteristics, breeds, ageing, conformation, digestive, feeding, parasites, diseases, vaccinations
